Raazia is a Licensed Social Worker who treats children, teens, and adults. She earned her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University Graduate School of Social Work in Boston. She has extensive experience working with children/teens and families challenged by anxiety, difficult behaviors, trauma, impulsivity, anger management, disrupted attachments, depression, grief, and family discord.
Prior to coming to CFT, Raazia has most recently worked with youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges at a residential treatment center and school-based settings providing both individual and group therapy. Ms. Ali also has experience providing psychotherapy and supportive counseling to adults in residential and hospital settings. She works with adults experiencing life transitions, changes in moods, and relational stressors.
In therapy, Raazia utilizes a supportive, directive approach that draws from strength-based theories. She blends different modalities when working with clients which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, positive parenting, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
She is committed to cultivating a warm and collaborative relationship with her clients. She is a compassionate psychotherapist that strives to provide the highest quality treatment to help them achieve their utmost potential. Raazia is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
In her free time, she likes to plan fun activities and travel with her family.
